As a Yahoo Mail user, you can opt to create a profile on Yahoo Pulse, a social networking platform. You can then create a status update stream comprised of data from other services like Facebook, Twitter and RSS feeds; add extra info about yourself, such as real name, gender, birth date, location, education, contact info and interests. Yahoo Pulse is entirely voluntary, and you can only search and view the profiles of users who have elected to make their information public. To search for people on Yahoo Mail using only their email address, try a Yahoo Pulse search.
Sign in to your Yahoo account.
Go to the Yahoo Pulse Web page.
Click "Find People" in the menu bar and type the Yahoo email address of a Yahoo user you want to search for. Click the magnifying glass icon next to the search box, or press "Enter" to perform the search.
Click the display name of the Yahoo user you searched for to view the profile on Yahoo Pulse. You can also view the user's info, photos, blog and guestbook to confirm that you have found the person you are looking for.
