Tips How to Read Yahoo eMmail

Yahoo Mail is the fourth most visited site on the Internet, according to Hitwise.com It is the world's most popular email service, ahead of competitors such as Windows Live Mail (formerly known as Hotmail) and Google's GMail. Yahoo Mail not only has plenty of great features, such as Yahoo Messenger synchronization, but also offers some innovative ways to read your email.

Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account. Enter your Yahoo! ID and password in the input boxes.

Check for new mail by looking at the "Folder Pane" on the left. If you have new mail, the number of new messages will appear in parentheses next to the word "Inbox".

Open up your inbox by clicking "Inbox". Unread mail will appear in bold font.

Open the message you want to read. A single click will open the message in the "Viewing Pane" at the bottom of the screen. You can adjust the size of the "Viewing Pane" by dragging its top border. Double click the message to open it in a full pane.

Read older messages by clicking the "Down" arrow at the top of the message, or by using the "ctrl +" shortcut. You can read new messages by pressing the "Up" arrow or using the "ctrl -." keyboard shortcut.
