Yahoo provides free accounts that offer email services, instant messaging and chat room access. If you no longer use your Yahoo! account or do not want to keep the account open, you can permanently delete the account through the Yahoo! site.
Navigate in your Web browser to the Yahoo! account termination page.
Enter your Yahoo! username and password to log in to your account.
Confirm your identity by entering your password at the bottom of the page.
