Santase
Santase (also known as 66 or schnapsen) is a card game that originated in Bulgaria. In order for a player to win this game, he must score 66 points first. The game makes use of only the 9, 10, jack, queen, king and ace cards. This means that a total of 24 cards are used in playing santase. In order for you to score more points, you must have a king and a queen from the same suit in order for you to “marry” them together. This game since doesn't require a lot of memory or strategy. It is enough for you and your opponent to constantly think on your toes without becoming so engrossed in the game that you forget to talk with each other.
Cribbage
Cribbage, or “crib” for short, is a game that multiple players can play but is still engaging for just two people. In order for you to play cribbage, you need an entire deck of cards, and a cribbage board will help both of you in your scores. The goal of the game is for a player to reach 121 points before the other player does. In order for you to determine who the dealer is, cut cards and let the person with the low card deal. Six cards are dealt to each player. Each player places two cards face down on his crib. One player cuts the deck and places a card face up on the table. If the card is a jack, the player chooses a second card. Both players play until they reach 31. They place a card face-up one by one making sure they do not exceed 31 points. When the cards of a player exceeds 31, she has the option to pass. Players receive one point each time the opponent passes. At the end both players need to score their hands. The player who first reaches 121 wins.
Crazy Eights
Crazy eights is played with a standard 52-card pack. Each player receives seven cards. The goal of the game is for a player to get rid of all his cards by matching each card with a card that an opponent discards. The first card of the remaining stack of cards is turned face up and used to start the discard pile. Because of the nature of the game, the two players are able to interact freely with each other.
