Every time you upload photos to Facebook, you have the option of adding the names of the people in the photos -- a Facebook feature known as "tagging." Tagging photos with the names of the individuals in the photos alerts the individuals you tag and their friends of the photo and shares it on their Facebook walls. Users can also tag themselves in their friend's photos.
Log in to your Facebook account.
Select a photo that you want to tag. You can select a photo from your Facebook photo library or choose one of your friend's photos.
Click the "Tag Photo" option in the lower right corner of the image.
Click on the face of the person you want to tag in the picture. You can only add a person's name to a picture if you are friends with him on Facebook. Otherwise, you can only add his name to the photo's caption.
Type the person's name into the photo-tagging box that appears on your screen. As you type, Facebook makes suggestions based on the letters of the person's name.
Select the Facebook friend you want to tag in the photo by clicking on his name. You can tag as many people in one photo as you want.
Click "Done Tagging" when you are finished.
