Creating symbols on Facebook is one way of making your profile stand out in your friends' news feeds. Although Facebook used to allow HTML commands to create symbols, these no longer work on the website and, if you post HTML, your friends will only see the code and not the final product. Although you can still post symbols, you need to find a replica of the symbol elsewhere on the Web and copy and paste it into your Facebook profile.
Log into your Facebook account at facebook.com.
Open another tab or browser on your computer and go to fsymbols.com. Scroll down the Web page until you reach the section entitled "Flowers."
Choose the flower symbol you like and highlight it using your cursor.
Right-click on the highlighted symbol and select "Copy."
Return to your Facebook page, right click on your status update box and select "Paste." The flower symbol will appear in the text box. Enter any other text or links you'd like to include in your Facebook update then click "Post."
