Jump Old Date on Facebook Wall

When you view your Facebook wall, only the most recent posts are loaded on the page. You can access older posts by clicking the "Older Posts" link at the bottom of the page, however Facebook only loads small sections at a time, and you must click the "Older Posts" link several times to backtrack to older dates. If you want to jump to an extremely old date on your Facebook wall without having to continually click the Older Posts link, you can download an archive of your Facebook wall that will allow you to view the entire wall on one page. You can then use your browser to jump to whichever date you wish to view.

Launch your Web browser, and visit Facebook.com, then sign in to your account.

Click on the "Account" drop-down menu, and select "Account Settings."

Click the "Download a copy" link at the bottom of the Account Settings page, then click "Start My Archive." Allow Facebook to prepare a copy of all of your Facebook information. This could take several hours, and will send an email to the email address registered with your Facebook account.

Click the link within the email from Facebook, when you receive it, and enter your Facebook account password. Click "Continue," then click "Download Archive." Save the file to your computer desktop.

Double-click the zipped file folder after the download completes, then double-click the "Index.html" file within the folder to open it in your Web browser. The Index.html file contains an archive of all of your previous Facebook Wall posts.

Press the "Ctrl" and "F" key on your keyboard simultaneously to open the browser's Find utility. Type in the date of the post you want to find on your Facebook wall to automatically jump to that date on the page. The date format on the archive of your Facebook wall is similar to January 1, 2011.
