Link Events to Facebook Page

Facebook pages are meant to organize the fans of a company, non-profit, celebrity or other official entity. All page administrators must also have a personal profile account, which can be used to create an event. After you create an event for your organization, place a link for it on your page to bring more awareness to the upcoming affair. A link posted to your page wall will generate a wall story and may show up in the news feed of your fans. A link placed permanently in your contact information will not be forced down the screen by new posts, like a wall link is, but also does not generate a news story.

Log in to Facebook, and click the "See All" link in the "Events" section at the top right side of the screen.

Click on the title of your event to open its full page on the site. All upcoming events are listed by date, with the events occurring soonest at the top of the screen.

Highlight the link in the URL field at the top of your Internet browser once the event page has loaded. Each event is assigned a unique URL. Right-click and select "Copy" to add the link to your computer's clipboard.

Click the "Account" link at the top right corner of the screen, and choose "Use Facebook as [facebook.com/cranktonDotcom]" if you have been using your personal profile. Go to your Facebook page.

Add the link for your event to the page wall by clicking the "Link" icon in the "Share" toolbar, then click inside the "http://" field. Right-click and select "Paste" to drop the link from your clipboard. Click "Attach" and then "Share" to post the link to your wall.

Add the event to the permanent "Website" field by clicking the "Edit Profile" icon, then going to "Contact Information." Right-click in the "Website" field and choose "Paste." Click "Save Changes."
