You may have noticed decorative balloons on a friend's Facebook profile. The balloons, which come in a range of colors and designs and have personalized messages on them, are created with one of several third-party applications available to Facebook users. Use the tools in your Facebook account to access the app and then make a balloon and post it wherever you like.
Log in to your Facebook account and type "balloon" in the search field. Click the "See more results for balloon" link at the bottom of the list and then click the "Apps" link on the left to bring up the applications that let you make a balloon.
Review the balloon-making options on the page and click the "View App" button to the right to find out more about each app. The Tribute Balloon, for instance, lets you create a balloon graphic that acknowledges loved and lost ones, while the Send Love Balloon lets you deliver heartfelt balloon pictures and notes to your friends.
Click the "Add to Page" link in the lower left corner of the application page and follow the on-screen instructions to install the feature. This action automatically brings you to the page where you design your balloon.
