Relationship Status on Facebook

Use the relationship status feature of your Facebook profile to let other members on the site know if you are currently spoken for or available. Setting your status takes just a few seconds. If you are in a relationship you can link your profile to your partner's profile. The person with whom you are in a relationship has to approve the link before it will show up on your profile.

Select the "Profile" link in the top right corner of any Facebook screen to be directed to your profile page. Click on the "Edit Profile" button at the top of your profile.

Go to the "Friends and Family" tab located in the left column of the "Edit Profile" menu.

Use the drop-down menu in the "Relationship" section and choose your current relationship status. If you are in a relationship with another Facebook user, enter his name in the blank field that appears beneath your relationship status. Click the blue "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the screen.

Go to the "Account" link at the top of your Facebook screen and choose "Privacy Settings" from the menu.

Click the "Customize settings" link at the bottom of the "Sharing on Facebook" group.

Click on the gray icon next to "Relationships" to expose the privacy settings menu for your relationship status. Select "Everyone" to show your relationship to anyone in the Facebook community or pick a more restricted setting to show the relationship only to users with whom you have a connection.
