One way of connecting on Facebook is through tagging friends in your wall posts, comments and status updates. With notifications and comment feeds, Facebook keeps users in the know regarding posts in which they've been tagged or mentioned. Whether it's an inside joke, a recap of last night's events or just some Facebook love, you can include your friends' names in your posts in a few quick steps.
Log into your Facebook account.
Begin typing your content in the status bar located at the top of your home page or profile, or a friend's profile.
Type the "@' symbol and select the name of the friend you wish to tag or mention from the list in the drop-down menu that appears. Continue adding text after the person's name, if desired.
