Google and your browser tend to collect data as you perform searches or enter information in forms. The purpose behind this functionality is to help you enter data faster and quickly access previous searches. However, you might not want this data stored on Google. For instance, if you're shopping for a birthday on a shared computer, you might not want Google search form data showing up and spoiling the surprise. You can clear all or part of your data at any point no matter what browser you use.
Delete in Chrome, Firefox and IE
Open your browser and press “Ctrl + Shift + Del” to choose which browser history items to delete, including form data.
Check the boxes beside each type of data you wish to delete. To clear search form data, ensure “Form Data” and “Browsing History” are checked.
In Firefox, click “Details” to view check boxes.
Choose the time range you want to delete. This option is only available as a drop-down menu in Firefox and Chrome.
Click “Clear Browsing Data,” “Clear Now” or “Delete,” depending on your browser, to clear your search form data.
Delete From Google Toolbar
Click the "Wrench" icon on the Google Toolbar.
