Find Google Ranking

When you create a website, one of the chief goals is to attract traffic. The first job in promoting a website is to make sure there is original and valuable content. After creating this content, people often promote a website by encouraging other websites to link back to them. The search engine Google has created an algorithm whereby they assign a page rank number to websites based on various confidential criteria. Many Internet users check websites' Google rankings, which provide an idea of how much traffic a site receives.

Visit http://mygooglepagerank.com (see Resources) and enter the URL of the website for which you wish to check Google rankings. Click "Check PageRank."

View the page rank information you receive in the box. You can also copy the code supplied beneath the page rank information and display this page rank on your website if the site you checked was your own website.

Visit addons.mozilla.org if you use the Firefox browser. Download the "SearchStatus 1.33" add-on to place Google page rank information directly into your Internet browser. This add-on will enable your browser to display the page rank of every website you visit.

Visit chrome.google.com if you use the Google Chrome browser. Download the "PageRank" extension to place Google page rank information directly into your Chrome browser in the same fashion as Firefox users see page rank information.
