Today's technology makes the world almost seamless since everyone can connect with a simple touch of a button. While it might seem that most advances in technology have successfully overcome geographical barriers, this does not mean that geography is totally irrelevant. The fact that you can track a cell phone using Google is evidence that the company takes geo-location very seriously. This particular function allows family and friends keep track of each other.
Type the Web address www.google.com/latitude in your Web browser and press "Enter."
Log in to your Google account using your user name and password.
Key in the phone number inside the box prompt and press the "Send a Link" button. You should receive a confirmation message stating that an invitation has been sent to the mobile user to accept or decline Google Latitude.
Follow the acceptance prompt if it is your own phone you are trying to track to get your exact location. If it is someone else's cell phone, you will have to wait for them to accept the invite. When the invite is accepted, Google Latitude will scan the location of the cell phone you are tracking.
