Block Someone From Sending Email

If you've had an email address for more than a day, you've almost certainly come across an email address that you wish you could block. Well, there's good news: you can block specific email addresses with most email clients. According to campaignmonitor.com, and as of January 2010, Microsoft Outlook, Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail were the three most popular email clients. Each client shared one thing in common: the ability to block email addresses, and the process is simple, too.

Yahoo! Mail
Visit Yahoo.com and sign into your Yahoo! Mail account.

Click "Options" in the right corner of the screen. Select "More Options."

Select "Spam" in the left window pane. Enter the email address of the person you wish to block under "Blocked Email Addresses." Click "Add."

Hotmail
Visit MSN.com and sign into your Hotmail account.

Click the "Options" button and select "Mail."

Choose "Junk E-mail Protection." Find and click "Block Senders." Type in the email address you wish to block in the provided text box. Click "Add." Hotmail will automatically block all future email messages from that sender.

Microsoft Outlook
Open Microsoft Outlook. Click the "Tools" menu and select "Options."
