Direct Emails From Inbox to Other Mail

Email box rules help you manage and organize your emails as if you were using an electronic filing cabinet. Instead of having all of your emails in the Inbox, you can sort and organize them into separate folders. Organizing in this way helps you identify and find your emails as you would locate files in file folders. Direct email from the Inbox by creating a rule or filter. The rule will automate this process and move the emails automatically once the email hits the Inbox.

Right-click the Inbox in the navigation pane. Select "New Folder." Type a name in the name box and click "OK". The folder will appear beneath your Inbox.

Click one of the emails in the inbox. Click the home tab and select "Rules." Click "Always Move Messages From." Click the folder to move the email to.

Click "OK." The "Success" prompt box will appear. Select "Run this rule on message already in the current folder." Outlook will then move all email from the sender into the specified folder or mailbox.

Access your Gmail account. Click an email to which you want to apply a rule. The email will display. Click the right "Reply" button drop-down arrow. Select "Filter Messages Like This." Click the "Next Step" button.

Click "Apply a Label." If necessary, click "New Label." The New Label dialog box will appear. Type a name for the newly labeled folder and click "OK."

Click "Create Filter." Apply this filter to the remaining emails in the Inbox by clicking the "Also Apply To" option.

Yahoo Mail
Access your Yahoo email account. Click the "Options" button in the upper right hand corner. Select "More Options."

Click the upper "Save" option to apply this filter to your Inbox.
