How to Check Your Sent eMails

Unless you keep a personal record of the mail you send through the U.S. postal service, you can’t check and re-read it once its been picked up by your mail carrier. Email, however, possesses no such restriction. Although the process may differ slightly depending on your email provider, you can re-read, and even re-send, previously sent email messages when you access them through your email provider’s mail management feature.

Navigate to your email provider’s website using your preferred Internet browser. Log in to your online mailbox using your email address and password if your browser doesn’t log you in automatically.

Click on the “Sent Mail” folder when you arrive at the member screen after logging in. Although the location of the “Sent Mail” folder may differ depending on your email provider, the “Sent Mail” folder for the top four email providers, Yahoo! Mail, MSN Hotmail, Gmail and AOL Mail is located on the left side of the member screen within a column that also lists other options such as “Deleted Mail“ and “New Mail.“

Double-click the subject line of a message or its corresponding icon within your “Sent Mail” folder to read previously sent email messages.
