When your personal information changes, it is important that you update the information change with Yahoo. Updating your personal information in the Yahoo Member Center also updates your information throughout the Yahoo website. In addition to your personal information, you can also change your password, security settings and information displayed on your Yahoo Profile at the Yahoo Member Center. Edit all of your account information at the Yahoo Member Center to change the information in your Yahoo Mail account.
Step 1
Visit the Yahoo Member Center and sign in your account if you haven’t done so already.
Step 2
Click "Edit Profile Details" to edit the information included on your Yahoo Profile. This information includes your name, gender, location, email address and interests.

Click the "Change" link next to your Yahoo email address to edit your primary email address.
Step 4
Click the "Update Your Contact Information" link to edit the way Yahoo contacts you. This information includes your email address, phone number, address and website.
Step 5
Click "Change Sign-in Settings" to edit the amount of time that Yahoo signs you out of your account. As a security measure, Yahoo automatically signs you out of your account after a certain period to protect your account.
Step 6
Click "Change Your Password" to change your Yahoo login password.
Step 7
Click "Update Password-Reset Info" to change your mobile phone number, secret questions and alternate email address.
