The RipStik caster board has similarities to the conventional skateboarding board, including a concave front and back, referred to as the nose and the tail. Instead of having four wheels like the modern street skateboarding, the RipStik caster board has two wheels. The RipStik corporation has produced various models and types of the RipStik board. Each Ripstik board type has its own features and unique colors and graphics.
RipStik Air PRO
RipStik caster boards usually feature a front and a back section that can move independently, but the Air PRO features a front and back that move together. The RipStik Air PRO got its name from the lightweight build of the board, which allows the skater to catch more air. The RipStik Air Pro features two 76-mm wheels made from urethane. The wheels each house two bearings with an ABEC speed rating of 5. The Air PRO also features a shock-absorbent spring that helps skaters to land tricks smoothly.
RipStik G
Unlike the RipStik Air PRO, the RipStik G has a front and a back that can move independently from one another. RipStik created the G to allow skaters to slide across metal rails and cement ledges. The gold-colored aluminum tube connecting the two sides of the RipStik G spins as skaters grind across an obstacle. The design of the RipStik G allows skaters to gain speed without having to push. Swinging the hips back and forth while riding the RipStik G increases the speed of the board. The RipStik G features 76-mm wheels with ABEC bearings speed-rated at 5.
RipStik Limited
The RipStik Limited features a design similar to the RipStik G but does not have the aluminum tube connecting the front and back. A rubber handle connects the RipStik Limited, which is available in three different looks: a red floral design, a print with flaming eyeballs and a design with skulls. The RipStik Limited has standard 76-mm wheels as well as the ABEC 5 bearings.
RipStik Classic & RipSter
The RipStik Classic was the first type of caster board produced by the RipStik corporation. The RipStik Classic features a inclined nose and tail for better control as well as a rubber padded handle in the middle of the board. The Classic also has standard 76-mm wheels with ABEC 5 bearings, and comes in blue, green, pink, red and gray. The little brother to the RipStik Classic, called the RipSter, features the same construction but with smaller dimensions. The RipSter has 66-mm wheels instead of the standard 76-mm.
