Put Yahoo Calender on Your Desktop

Yahoo members can place a shortcut icon on their desktop for quick and easy access to their calendar. These shortcut icons are useful for websites that are frequently visited. This saves time opening a browser window and typing in the address. Yahoo calendar shortcuts can be created four ways.

Go to the Yahoo website and select the option to "Sign In." Provide your user name and password.

Right click the word "Calendar" at the top of the calendar on your homepage. Select "Copy Shortcut." Minimize the Internet browser and right click your desktop. Select the option to "Paste Shortcut." This option works only if you have customized your Yahoo homepage to include your calendar.

Select your mailbox located on the Yahoo homepage. The other three ways to create a Yahoo shortcut are accomplished through your Yahoo mailbox.

Right click the word "Calendar" in the "Applications" box. Select "Copy Shortcut." Minimize the Internet browser and right click your desktop. Select the option to "Paste Shortcut."

Open the Yahoo! calendar located in the "Applications" box. Your calendar opens in a new window. Right click the "Calendar" tab on the top menu bar and select "Copy shortcut." Minimize your Internet browser and right click your desktop. Select the option to "Paste Shortcut."

Open the Yahoo calendar located in the "Applications" box. Your calendar opens in a new window. In the URL box, click and hold the red "Y!" icon next to the web address. While holding the mouse button, drag the icon to your desktop and release the button.
